International Human Rights Day 2015

Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December. It celebrates the day on which, in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The Polish Erasmus+ club decided to honor this special day with all the pupils and prepared a big celebration for them. We started with short presentation of our project "Stand up for your rights!" and the main matter of it - the human rights. The presented materials became a permanent part of the school corridor. Then the Polish coordinator of the project, Joanna Krech, with one of the pupils, a member of the Erasmus+ club, Justyna Rozmus, were talking about the project and encouraging all the children to join the club or to take part in many different activities. After that the pupils had an opportunity to find out more about their rights by watching a short movie on this topic.

At the end, listening to Bob Marley's song "Get up, stand up", we handed out many colorful balloons with different articles of the Convention of Human Rights attached to them. Later, at the classrooms, the teachers discussed the articles with the children and prepared drawings of human rights.
The celebration was great and we hope the spread information will benefit in the future.
